  here are a few things u need to know:

-Cut Time- thats when you play the song twice as fast

-Double Hit- don't try and strike the drum twice... hold
  the stick on the head after you strike it,instead of 
  lifting it back up like you were taught. When you hold 
  that stick down after you hit the drum, the stick will
  bounce up a little ways and hit a second time. 
  Therefore producing a double hit. 

-Tempo- that's how fast the song is ( this song... in
  regular time... is goin at about 185-190 beats per 
  minute or bpm)
