The Flood Acoustic

This is a rather tricky song for a beginner with some odd chord changes that will be difficult but stick with it
it is a hell of a song to play and pull off live.
Thoughts for performance:
1) Its an uptempo song, play it moderately fast
2) During the halftime feel parts (i.e You're feeling numb, from all that has become.) play the chord 4 times on
the upbeat it sounds close to the song and it adds a bit of interest to a repetative song.
3) There are easier ways to play those chords I just like the jazzier and not as full sound that the half muted
chords have, play to taste
4) Follow the singer, this is a lyrically driven song so do your best to follow the singer

Capo 3 is truer to the song since it was written on a guitar in drop c but feel free to move it around to match
your voice.

Ah Come on!

Interlude-

Em - C - Am - F#7 - B7

Verse:

Em
I can't believe,
C
The drama that I'm in,
Am
The flood is getting closer,
F#7 B7
I don't think they know that I know how to swim,
Em C Am
You're feeling numb, from all that has become.
                                        F#7
It leaves your gums, slips down your tongue,
             B7 Am
and travels fast down towards your lungs.
       Am/B C F#7 B7 Em
All be cause I (leaving you behind)
Chorus:
Em
I feel the pressure,
C
It's coming down on me,
Am F#7 B7
It's turning me black and blue!
(rest over this for effect)
Oh whoa
Em C
You left me on the side of the road (side of the road!)
Am F#7 B7
And now I've got no place to go,
                     Em
You brought the flood!

The changes are the same throughout the rest of the song I thought the heavy part didnt really fit for an
open mic style acoustic rendition of the song but whatever:) Hope you enjoyed and keep on rocking
